Taking Blood and Building Helicopters

Last week when we visited Uncle Shaun at Grandma nad Grandad's house Cole decided the cat (toy cat) needed his blood taken. He had recently watched daddy have his blood taken and remembered all about the needle and container for storing the blood. He improvised and used an old bottle teet and a phone aerial for the needle and container.

After Shaun's delicious roast lunch I took him to the new Albany Westfield mall for a spot of shopping and Cole was most impressed on our return when Sahun gave him a Lego helicopter. Cole and daddy had lots of fun putting it together (!) which suited me because Lego is my least favourite toy in the world so I'm happy to let everyone else suffer through Cole's tantrums when it doens't work for him ;) He is getting better and better, creating some really cool things with his Lego, but the second the little pieces get too much for him and don't do what he wants he crumbles and gets so cross we just end up putting it all away for a wee while. Then we're ready to start again the next day!

On Monday Cole went to get his hair cut, and it reminded me how grown up he is now. His first ever haircut at 14 months old he cried and cried, and luckily the lady cutting his hair specialised in children's haircuts, so worked quickly as Cole wriggled around trying to get away!
