Birthdays and Taking Photos

On Tuesday it was Shaun's birthday so we dragged him round to Abi's house for a take-away curry and a surprise birthday cake. Cole sung him happy birthday (see photo) and then got stuck in to the Smarties decorating part of the cake. Carrying on with the birthday theme the following night we went to Royal Thai for dinner this time with Scott in tow as well. And then on Sunday birthday fever was still in full throtle and it was lunch at Hammerheads where Cole enjoyed a delicious steak, ice cream, and in one of the photos you can see his Green Turtle drink. It was similar to a Pink Panther, which was always my favourite...except it was green.

Cole has been getting into taking his own photos with the camera. At breakfast with Shelly, Abi and Gator the other day he took one of each of us and then a self portrait of himself, which I've included below. He is actually getting pretty good with the camera now, taking photos of actual things and people rather than shoes and the floor! Grandad, Uncle Shaun, the fireplace, and Daddy were all taken at Hammerheads.

Macy has been making herslef comfortable around Shaun, using his lap as a bed and dropping gifts on the door step...this particular gift of rat was left outside at midnight on Saturday after I wouldn't let her bring it into the house! Between animals and children you never know what surprises await you from day to day!!
