Baking Banana Cake
We took Cole to the pools for the first time in the weekend. He was reluctant to get in, which we weren't expecting since he loves the bath and runs into the ocean without hesitation.
But we managed to get him in the kids pool, he clung on tightly, and then when Scott went under the water Cole screamed - not just a little argh, but one that echoed through the leisure centre!
He was very concerned that daddy had disappeared, then later after we got out and were watching Scott swimming, another guy jumped in and disappeared under the water and Cole reacted the same way.
So we are looking at going to some swimming classes and perhaps that will make a difference...to be continued!
We've been making the most of the good weather, Cole's been keen to help us out in the garden, digging, watering plants, sweeping, and transporting dirt (Who filled my boots with dirt? Daddy asked...hmm, I wonder...)
We had a lovely walk through the bush down the end of our street yesterday with Sidney and Sherryn from next door. Sidney did really well and walked the whole way, Cole kept stopping and saying "up please". And after encouraging him to use his manners, how could we say no? So we had plenty of exercise anyway.
Cole helped me bake a banana cake this morning, he helped to mash the bananas, turn the food processor on and off, and lick all the utensils. And afterwards he helped to wash the dishes, what a good little cook.
Oh, and he got some finger paints for xmas which he has been loving! (see photo)
Bye for now...

OMG!!! been a few weeks since I read your blog - how much older does Cole look! They grow so quick eh.
Always meant to ask - Where did you get the name Cole, it's so cool.
Anyway, better go and get some more sleep as I've been up since 3.30am - too hot here at night.
Love to the whanau,
