For my birthday this year we went to Daikoku for dinner. It was Cole's first time, and he loved it. He even asked if we could go there for dinner again tonight!

The look of amazement held by Cole throughout the cooking of the meal.
Good ol' family shot!
Flaming of the prawns.
Had to get the last of the ketchup - it didn't really get used for the tempura vegetables though...
When we arrived we had a drink first. Cole was watching everything that was happening and when we got to the table he said he wanted the man in the red hat. To his delight, that's exactly the chef we got. He was fabulous, very entertaining. Cole opened his mouth wide to try and catch the egg, marvelled at the disappearing salt shaker, and actually ate bean sprouts, fried rice and tempura vegetables. (Some of which will make no sense if you haven't been to a Teppen Yaki dinner before!)
We'll definitely be heading back there again.
