Sleeping and Birthdays

It went quiet in the lounge the other day and I walked in to find Cole fast asleep on the couch clutching his favourtie fire engine. It was about 4 in the afternoon on a Saturday I think.


This morning we went to Sidney's third birthday party at Cornwall Park, One Tree Hill. There was a face painter/balloon artist there who was just great with the kids, and Cole asked for a pink motorbike balloon, and a pink butterfly on his cheek (which he doesn't want wiped off ever!). Sidney's mum made an amazing teddy bear cake as it was a teddy bear's picnic, and the kids got to decorate their own party hats - surprise surprise Cole stuck on as many pink star stickers as he could find, but asked me to draw a fire engine, police car and ambulance too!

We went on an Easter egg hunt down the end of our road at Fernglen gardens yesterday, unfortunately forgot to take the camera. But Cole spotted the most eggs the fastest out of the 4 young ones taking part. The older kids went hunting for marshmallow eggs in the bush and when they brought them back Cole wanted those as well. He had to make do with a chocolate bunny which mum and dad later helped him eat!

We have a busy easter weekend ahead of us so will no doubt have photos to post next week sometime :) Happy Easter everyone.
