Lisa and Scott's Wedding

The wedding we went to last weekend down Taupo way was gorgeous. The ceremony was at Waihi Village infront of the Waihi waterfall, a location normally not open to the public, so we were all very lucky to be allowed into the wee Maori village for the event. If you looked one way you saw the waterfall, and directly behind us the other way was Lake Taupo.

Unfortunately Cole wouldn't smile for any photos - until the reception that was! This was held at Lisa's parents home in Turangi and was equally amazing. Lisa and Scott had used all her mum's china sets so there were different plates at each setting, and Lisa had made art for the marquee wall, there was a pink theme running through the decor with pink lanterns hanging in the apple trees, wine bottles with pink lids and labels, pink flowers - they did a fantastic job, especially since they are based in London!

After an amazing meal catered by Lisa's family, as it got dark the glow sticks came out and the dancing began on the deck. I took Cole back to the motel about 10.30pm and the others rolled in about 2.30am.
