Our Big Schoolie

Cole had his 5 year old birthday party in the weekend with a few friends. He chose a super hero theme this year, but after 3 costume changes in the morning decided not to dress up after all!! His birthday, as with most years, has lasted about 3 weeks, with a celebration at Tots on his last day, then a lunch with the family, presents on his actual birthday which was a Friday this year, and finally his party on Saturday!

Thanks to everyone for the cards, birthday wishes, and presents. Cole got some cash this year too, most of which we are encouraging him to save in the bank. We're also trying to teach him that it's better to spend a little more and get a decent toy that will last, rather than getting a few things from the $2 shop that be broken within the week! Interesting lesson...

Monday was his first day of school, we all walked there in the morning and then picked him up in the afternoon and walked home. Only a few complaints about the walk, but today he didn't comlpain once on the walk there so must be getting used to it :) He made new friends on his first day, George and Thomas, and really likes his teacher. Looks like school will be a great adventure for him.
