Wellington

Yes it's been a while since the last post! We haven't stopped this year, withthings happening every weekend and for mum and dad most week nights too.
But we managed to get away to Wellington for a long weekend and as soon as the web site allows me I'll post some photos, seems to be having a problem at the moment though. There are some on face book if you have an account you can see them there.
We fit a lot into our 3 days. The flight was good, only an hour, and it was Cole's first ever. He was very excited about getting on the plane and couldn't wait to take off, then 20 mins into the flight he started asking when we were going to land! "Can we land now? I want to land now. Are we landing yet?" Thank goodness we weren't flying to England!!
We stayed at the Hotel Ibis in the city centre and everything was in walking distance. The Sat and Sun we had good weather and looked at the Beehive, NZ's parliament buildings, rode on the cable cars, checked out Te Papa museum, and for some reason ate lots and lots of food!!
We went to Cuba Street and saw the bucket fountain and checked out some nifty little shops. We had Inidan for lunch at Tulsi which was delicious and entertaining...the waiter brought a big brass elephant over for Cole to play with, and then when Cole started silently sobbing because there was no ice cream on the menu the waiter tried to cheer him up. When our meals came out he took Cole for a walk. Off they went out the door and we had no idea where to, but about 10 minutes later they came back with Cole proudly holding on to an ice cream! How's that for service!!
We have had two weddings in the last few weeks, the first Abi and Gator's which was lovely and Cole stayed at Grandma and Grandad's house for a sleepover. Then last night we went to Uncle Rob and Aunty Natalie's lovely wedding and Abi babysat. Gator even popped in at one stage for a visit, and Cole told us this morning all about the fun he had and how Gator's new car came from over by the zoo and MOTAT (at Western Springs) and that Abi gave him two pieces of chocolate and that he was a very very lucky boy!
Cole has started music lessons on Monday mornings with Janet from Kids Music Company, but I will save that and some other stuff for another posting!
